These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Precision Documents ("the Service"), operated by Precision Documents ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Precision Documents. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized access to your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload documents containing malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Use the Service to process illegal content
• Attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or usage quotas
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service beyond normal use
• Use automated tools to flood the Service with requests
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without permission
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all documents you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your documents solely for the purpose of providing the Service (AI analysis, embedding generation, chatbot responses).

We do not claim ownership of your content. We do not use your documents to train AI models. Document text is sent to third-party AI providers only for real-time processing and is not retained by those providers for training purposes.

5. Service Description

Precision Documents provides AI-powered document analysis including:

• Automatic table of contents generation
• Cross-reference and link detection
• Amendment and endorsement impact detection
• Defined terms extraction
• Document chatbot with citations
• Document summaries

AI-generated content is provided as-is and may contain errors. You should verify AI outputs independently, especially for legal, financial, or compliance purposes.

6. Usage Limits

To ensure fair access for all users, we enforce:

• Rate limits: A maximum number of AI requests per hour
• Daily quotas: Limits on daily token usage and document processing
• File size limits: Maximum 50 MB per document, maximum 500 pages

These limits may be adjusted. If you exceed a limit, the Service will return an error and you can retry after the specified cooldown period.

7. Availability and Modifications

We strive to keep Precision Documents available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

• Perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability
• Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
• Update these Terms, with notice posted on the website

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
• Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
• We are not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated analysis. You use AI outputs at your own risk.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the state in which we operate.
